Rosh Chodesh

Rosh Chodesh, which means “Head of the Month” in Hebrew, is a deep, relevant, and life changing program for 6th-12th grade girls. Each group of girls meet once each month and are guided by a trained group leader and facilitator that helps them explore, navigate, and understand the complexities of adolescent life. They share deep thoughts and feelings about subjects like body image, friendship, competition, bullying, stress, family, drugs and alcohol, and more.

Offered at Temple Solel for over ten years, Rosh Chodesh has deeply impacted its participants. Participants have shared with us that this offering has provided them a safe place to talk about their concerns, have fun, be ‘real’ with their peers, and receive guidance from a caring Jewish leader.

Rosh Chodesh groups meet monthly from September through May.
