Teen Journey
INTELLECTUAL • COMMUNAL • TRANSFORMATIVE
Teen Journey is not just another educational program; it’s an immersive journey designed to empower teens with the knowledge, skills, and spiritual insights they need to navigate the complex world around them. Teen Journey fosters deep connections among participants, creating a supportive community of peers who share similar values and aspirations.
The engaging curriculum and facilitators challenge teens to think critically, ask meaningful questions, and explore Judaism in a dynamic, thought-provoking way. Teen Journey for Grades 8-12 meets one day a week after school.

The course topics will be shaped by the students’ interests.

Everyone has an answer! The Talmud is right, everyone has a place and their own opinion. We will be grappling with hot topics such as sports and medicine, unpacking the news, the digital world, social issues, food and Israel. Each week will feature a different topic unless it’s so juicy and good we want to continue to the next week.
Our goals: continue to build our Jewish identity, create community within the group, support each other and learn through our differing opinions, in large and small groups.
11th & 12th Grade with Rabbi Berk
How to have an argument. How to build friendship. How to savor love. How to recover from hurt. How to build a life of meaning and intention. How to maintain your selfhood while navigating the texture of others. How to make human connections more meaningful and joyous. All of these are very ancient Jewish explorations, with very modern applications. This class cohort is focused on the art of conversation and relationship – rooted in Talmud and layers of Jewish wisdom. Join us!
