Volunteer Opportunities
Temple Solel is co-created by every one of our members that invests their time, talent, and generous spirit into making our Jewish community and the greater San Diego community a more vibrant place of belonging.
There are so many ways, see more than thirty on the lists below, that members can volunteer at the Temple and for causes beyond our walls.
For example, Temple Solel is a proud contributor to the JFS High Holiday food drive. In 2022, Temple Solel members donated 4,000 pounds of food for the High Holiday food drive – more than any other Jewish organization in San Diego.
Be part of positive change, with us.

Kulanu: Synagogues in Action Against Antisemitism
Temple Solel is proud to be a part of Kulanu: Synagogues in Action Against Antisemitism, a program sponsored by the ADL that is comprised of 113 congregations across the US. Kulanu, which means “all of us” in Hebrew, is dedicated to empowering congregations to address antisemitism and hate in all of our communities through education, community engagement, and advocacy. Kulanu creates new community initiatives and mechanisms for reporting antisemitic incidents locally. It also offers access to tremendous ADL resources, including interaction with ADL experts, as well as fostering a network of connected communities working together in this effort.
