HANDS-ON Mentorship

Counselors in Training (CIT)

This program for 9th and 10th graders emphasizes hands-on leadership experience and prepares campers for future counselor roles. CITs mentor younger campers, work alongside experienced staff, and take on real responsibilities that build skills including communication, problem-solving, and teamwork. It’s about practicing leadership in a camp setting and making an immediate impact.

In addition to leadership training, CITs will bond with peers, enjoy camp activities, and take part in challenges designed specifically for their age group. There is no charge for counselors in training. CITs are required to attend staff training (June 9 – 13). View Dates.
